Cambridgeprojektsprachreise der Schülerinnen und Schüler der 6a und 6r vom 18.- 26. März 2010 After some trouble at the airport (delayed plane, passport-problems, unattended luggage,…) we finally arrived in Cambridge. Not everybody was as lucky as we were. I guess we had the best host family: good food, friendly and princess-like bedroom. (Claudia Kendlbacher) The whole week was very busy. Thursday, Monday and Tuesday we had school and fieldwork, which we needed for our final presentations on Wednesday. We used the rest of the time for punting, bowling, shopping, a trip to Ely, we watched the musical “Annie get the gun”, went to the cinema, played snooker and cycled to Grantchester’s teahouse to enjoy a real English cup of tea with muffins. (Anna Steinacher) On Sunday and Thursday we went to London. First of all we rushed to Buckingham Palace to watch the Changing of the Guards, we also visited Trafalgar Square, Madame Tussauds, went for a boat trip, walked through Camden Market,…We really liked London, even though the trips were very exhausting, because of all the walking and London is such a busy city. (Verena Kettner, Bettina Huber) England is very different to Austria in many ways, especially the traffic: all the vehicles were driving on the wrong side of the road, accept the ambulances used the right lane now and then J. But we all got used to cycling our bikes on the left side of the road. I want to return to England some time, because I like the friendly people and the English way of life. To sum up it was a very exciting week and I am looking forward to our next schooltrip. (Anna Schuberth, Stefanie Beran)
